Cory Richter

Cory Richter is the Construction Program Manager for Ramsey County Public Works. Her team is focused on building flood control and sustainable transportation corridors that are accessible. A graduate of Michigan State University, she began working as a geotechnical technician for Golder Associates in the late 1990's. She took her experience in the field and laboratory and continued her education at Saint Paul College in the Geomatics & Mapping Sciences program. Her current work is focused on leading a construction team that rebuilds and repairs public infrastructure including stormwater, roadway, traffic control, and right of way access. Prior to working for Ramsey County Public Works, she had a successful career in geospatial technology in application development, Open Source application maintenance and development, and data management. She has presented at local and national conferences on Open Source technologies and integration with commercial software. She is a member of the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council Emergency Preparedness Committee, American Public Works Association, and InfraGard. Her main area of interest is emergency response and bringing technology in the field to streamline work and reporting.
